Yellow flower

Location: My back yard
Camera: Nikon CoolPix 950
Photo date: 8 June 2002
Description:

It’s always fun to see what wildflowers show up from year to year. This is Celandine, a member of the Poppy family. When I plucked a leaf, the most vibrant saffron-hued juice bled out.

Once upon a time, the plant’s juice was thought to bleach freckles, remove warts, and cure liver ‘complaints’.

Comments:

This one is lovely and would make for a beautiful postcard.  :o)

I also like the commentary… very informative.  I love collecting material like that.
