JUST WHATS BEEN GOING ON STUFF
We had a pretty busy holiday weekend as it turned out. Angus actually had Friday and Sunday and Monday off! So we took full advantage of it. Friday began with a trip to the hospital for test and X-rays for Angus’s upcoming appointment next Monday at Ma General. Which took way more time than it should have. The rest of the afternoon and evening was spent traveling to Maine to pick up Zoe and Aidan. The traffic was pretty heavy on the way up so we stayed for the evening until it died down a bit.
Saturday afternoon we had a cookout and went out on my mothers boyfriends boat to watch the fireworks on the river. What a great display it was. One of the best we have seen in a couple of years. It was a late late night and the kids were so tired (Aidan actually missed the end) they all actually slept in until we forced them out of bed at 9AM on Sunday! Once everyone was up and dressed we headed off on a road trip to Kennebunkport for the day. Not to much traffic until we got to Ogunquit really. I was very surprised lol. We walked around a bit and poked into a few shops and had lunch over looking the Kennebunk river. And then a scenic drive a little farther up the coast.
On the drive home Angus decided that not having a grill to cook some juicy steaks on the 4th of July weekend was just a sin, so we stopped off and got a small charcoal grill and some steaks for dinner. We did a tale gate kind of thing out in the back grass of the condo’s. My mother is one of the few people that does not have any yard area. There is a large common grassy area off the parking lot though. So the kids played tag and such while we cooked.

I THOUGHT IT WAS THREE STRIKES AND YOUR OUT?
Really isn’t that just the way that it is, in everything, not just baseball? I miscalculated a little on my checking account. How was I suppose to know aol was going to start charging me a week early, really? Now in my defense, I haven’t done this in a very long long time. The last time I did this was a couple of years ago. And that wasn’t even my fault. It was dish networks. They made a big mistake and thought we canceled their service and didn’t return the boxes. I think I blogged about it when it happened.
Welllllll, when Angus made his deposit yesterday it said -$imnotsurehowmuchcausehewasyellingatmetoloud. All I heard was that I was having my visa card and my checkbook taken away! What, what is this? NO VISA? Ya, I can laugh about it now but, wooh yesterday um, I was shaking in my shoes. He was that mad. And I was trying my hardest to defend myself but, he wasn’t buying it. Not for a minute. So I hopped online to check it out, and prove my innocence. Biggest mistake I made. There in black and white. In my face. It was my fault. I forgot about my Home depot purchase. And then, then there was aol charges.
I really thought after he had time to calm down and a good nights sleep (and the back scratch I gave him) that I would get my lifeline back. But nooooooooo, he threw ten bucks on the dresser this morning on his was out. And told me I should be able to get though the day with that, since he was taking my car and all. Whatthefuck? Your giving me ten bucks but then I have no way to spend it? What? I tried the three strikes thing but I guess in the real world it does not apply.
Now in my defense, again, I am not one of those women that frivolously spend money. I am pretty frugal actually. Well, most of the time. And he is the first one to admit that. So in my opinion. I think this is just NOT FARE. But really I think I can stick this out longer than he can. Unless he wants to have to do all the food shopping, drop off and pick up his dry cleaning, and all the other miscellaneous errands I run during the week, he is going to have to stop at the bank so many times a week that I have faith that he can’t last more than one week lol.

REASON NUMBER 104,356 WHY I DON'T LIKE N.E.
We just got our electricity back a few minutes ago. After most of the afternoon with out it. The winds kicked up like a hurricane was coming. Lightening and thunder followed shortly after. Two large trees fell, one on the east end of the street and one on the west end. The one on the west end fell on a car. I hate thunder and lightening storms. I am petrified. Give me a good old earthquake, no problem. Give me a raging fire only a few miles from my home, no problem. But please oh please make this shit go away. And it doesn’t look like it’s going anyplace for a while yet. Yeeks. The lights are flickering again. Well gotta run. I need to find something I can cook for dinner real fast. We have a electric stove lol. And of course I have no left overs in the fridge. I think I might hear Domino’s calling!

STRANDED AGAIN
OMG, I just discovered that I can put a weather icon on my page. How long has that been there Kate? You should know by now that you have to whack me on the head with these things lol. I am so afraid to touch any buttons unless I am positive what they are. I am so afraid of breaking this blog lol. And if I do it too many times it will be taken away from me :( Kate I really need to come over more often so you can teach me how to do some chit on this blog lol.
Anywho, I am yet again stranded. Angus is taking the car tomorrow too. Blah. I really hope he doesn’t go in on Friday, or I will go apeshit for sure! Oh and Kate, just so you know, and don’t freak for me, I gave someone else my IP address. Ya, baby steps, it’s all about baby steps. Right?
I made it to around 12:30 Am last night for the blogathon. She only had 31/2 hours to go! I stopped by there this morning and she made it through her 24 hours! Ya FoFuSa! Angus woke up at about 2AM and I was going to check out how she was doing in her last hour but he wouldn’t let me. OK can’t get the emocon thingy to go here. Why? See, I shouldn’t mess to much lol.
Well going to go and check email and a few blogs. Maybe I will blog some more later. I have been pretty good about it the past few days. And hey, I have nothing better to do whilst stranded here at home. It is just way to humid out to walk anyplace.

SO FAR EVERYONE IS STILL ALIVE
Well it has been relatively quiet around here. Well until about a fifteen minutes ago any way. But hey they were very well behaved for the past six hours so who am I to complain. I just threatened to send the friend home and give them a list of chores to do if I hear any more bickering. I think that might work for about ten minutes or so. Whadyathink?
I think either my eyes are going to pop out or my fingers are going to fall off. Maybe both. One of my favorite bloggers is having a blogathon. She is blogging for twenty four hours. She has a chat room going, a web cam going, and is posting a new post on her blog every hour. And I have been online more than off line chatting with everyone there lol. Hey, I can’t go anyplace today, so what the heck! Well and, I AM doing laundry in between. I haven’t forgotten to feed the children, or let them shed any blood, yet.
But I don’t think I will be able to join her for the long hall. She started about 4AM EST. I don’t think Angus will understand my need to see this to the end lol. Ok, time to go check and see how she is doing. Her eight year old just started throwing up when we all last chatted. Poor thing.

PRAY THAT I MAKE IT THROUGH THE DAY!
UGH! I hate being stranded to the house. Now if I was alone it wouldn’t bother me but, stuck home with three kids? Zoe spent the night at a friends house last night so it is quiet and peaceful at the moment. The two of them should be here within the hour. That make four kids. All day. Stranded. Here. All day. With no car to escape. Angus had to take my car to work for the day. I wonder how many times I will call him at work and curse at him for doing this to me?
I think I am going to do a google for the library and if it is two miles or under the first sign of trouble we are out the door and on our way. I will chance the thunderstorm warnings. Aidan and I went yesterday to get our library cards on the sly. We also checked out a pond that I never new existed here in town. I also think I might have found a new place to hike and try and get in shape. I knew part of this place was there. As a small child my mother would take us there during Halloween time as they would make the castle all spooky. But I never realized that there were many trails through out the woods there. I love to get lost in the woods and try and find my way around. I think that is just the motivation I need right now to get my butt in gear. I have been to maudsley several times since moving back, and was kind of disappointed that I still knew my way around pretty well lol. Unfortunately it(the new place) is too far to walk to at the moment. Maybe if I get back to walking a fourteen minute mile I could handle getting there and then still have enough energy to walk around leisurely for a while. But not now. Nosirreebob. Like I said, if the library is two miles or under I will haul there butts there. More than that in this humidity? Idontfreakingthinkso! Though we did hike a lot in mausley in the heat before we saw the Peter Pan play. Na, not even.

IT'S SUMMAH!
Today is the kids first day of summer vacation. At 8AM Aidan announced he was bored. And he and Zoe have already butted heads a few times. It is going to be a long, long summer.
I can’t believe that I have had this blog for a year now. This past year has gone by in one big blur. I wish I could close my eyes and be back to that moment when I first started typing. I would do a lot of things differently. Its been pretty busy around here the past couple of weeks. We got all the test results back. Angus has to have a couple of operations done. When he will have them we are not sure. The doctor said he wants to do it ASAP. He wanted to do one of them at a local hospital but, they are not equipped for open heat surgery. Should anything go wrong we would be screwed. So we told him we are not comfortable with him having it done there. We want MA General, or ST Elizabeth. Which is were he was suppose to be getting things set up under his recommendation. Well we haven’t heard from him for a week now. I have to call the office today and find out what is going on.
We had Aidan’s birthday party at my brothers last weekend. All in all it was a good time. Angus did take the day off so Aidan was happy. Well I spoke to soon about the OS and behaving. She totally wigged and lost it when she got there. Two hours late. Guess she had a stressful day? She went off because our SIL pealed the seal of of the shrimp plate she brought and was going to try and defrost them in the microwave. She wigged and it went from there. She started yelling for the boys. And told them they were going home. And when anyone told her that it was ok, calm down, have a drink. We all have bad days......... kind of stuff. She just got worse. Sophia was sitting right next to her the hole time, bug eyed and mouth gaping open lol. She was stunned. And of course Angus was outside at the grill with my brother and missed it all. I so wanted to run outside and grab him for the show. After she calmed down, the rest of the day went well.
It is so going to be a long summer. I just had to brake up fight number three I think, could be four. And Angus thinks that I can leave them in the care of sophia if I get a job. I don’t believe I got a job at the school. But there is still hope that something will come up over the summer. I hope anyway. Well gotta run. Kids are just not going to give me any peace today. I will try and be better about blogging.
